DOREE+ did not come out of a software house that had real estate explained to it. It came out of a consultancy that has been walking buildings for as long as the firm has existed.
Built by x.project AG.
DOREE+ is built by x.project AG in Frankfurt am Main, an owner-managed firm for technical real estate consultancy that has existed since 2000. We did not come from software into real estate; it was the other way round.
That is why the platform looks the way it does. Someone who has spent years writing surveys, walking buildings and filling data rooms for other people's transactions builds different software from someone who has to have the problem explained to them.

Frank Rennekamp
CTO, DOREE+
A physicist, in technology since 1995. Twenty of those years in the data room business, most recently as a software architect at a leading data room provider, where he helped grow the platform from one server to 120 servers across three data centres.
Holger R. Weber
Chairman of the Board, x.project AG
Founder of the firm and more than twenty years in technical real estate consultancy. He brings in the cases the requirements come from, and is still out selling himself.
Why it is two products and not one with modules.
Because they are two different people. A broker needs a data room for four months and thirty strangers. An owner needs an overview of twenty years and three service providers. That is not the same software with a different tick in the price list, and we do not sell it as one.
